Revisiting Glucose Restoration

I’m taking pure dextrose again, last time I tried dextrose I did gain weight, this time I will try keeping fat to a minimum. I’m 250 with 50 lbs to lose. I’ll keep on grinding seeds with oatmeal to get the essential fats, and whatever other fat I can’t avoid. I won’t stress too much about it.

There is a ‘sugar diet’ fad going around where people do sugar fasting eating only sugar / fruits, and no fat or little protein. And the weight flies off with ease.

I feel like it’s not a bad idea for short term, however for long term and maintenance: Good fats that cause a bile dump and fiber keeps your entire system flowing, and the toxins constantly being sequestered out.

I’ve been watching durianrider on youtube because his diet has included refined sugar for decades, and he does really well on it.

Mcdougall also recommended a high starch diet, he would recommend refined sugar to only his sickest patients. But in the video below he says that sugar, refined sugar, does not cause diabetes, it’s only when you add fat that you are at risk. And he goes on to say diabetes is curable with rice and sugar.

The brain runs on glucose, it’s preferred energy source, without enough energy it is unable to deal with all the problems of the body effectively. After a traumatic experience the brain utilizes more glucose than normal but then after 20 minutes uses less and stays at a reduced rate. The result is that the brain doesn’t get the fuel it needs resulting in anxiety, depression, and a whole host of mental issues. Refined dextrose is a tool of brain restoration.

I’ve never paid much attention to cortisol levels, the way durianrider puts it makes sense to me:
