Starch based diet, 80-10-10, that’s 80% carbs from starches, 10% fat, 10% protein, is the best.
Eating starches like: potatoes, rice, corn, beans, lentils.
I’ve stopped adding nuts and seeds, and stopped flax, and chia. I was thinking about it. and if taking the pure oils caused my knee to swell, than taking a smaller amount didn’t really make sense. My knee is already back to normal btw. The nut industry funds junk studies trying to make nuts look good.
McDougall says that fats and oils, no matter the source (meat, or plants) sludge your blood. Making your circulation worse. Better blood flow means better nutrient delivery to cells, cellular oxygenation, and better recovery.
It’s been about a week, following it loosely, but I already know that its a sustainable diet.
McDougall is one of seemingly very few who emphasize the importance of your diet being starch based, and low fat. Without these two things you would just fail so hard. It’s crazy how it all comes down to this 1 man, but that’s the world we live in. Money drives everything, and it’s only getting worse and worse.
